For the last decade and a half, film has made up a big part of my life; whether making them, writing about them or just plain watching them. In 2005 I was fortunate enough to have one of my short films featured in a series at the British Film Institute and in 2006 I was able to direct a short film inside of the Clapham Picture House and to have it screened at my childhood cinema, The Ritzy.
“Greatest Never“, aims to bring together the films I’ve enjoyed over the years which have never found quite the audience they deserve. Releasing a review of a film bi-monthly, this project will profile hidden classics from across the history of cinema to bring them to a wider audience.
Currently, I’m approaching cinemas, pubs, bars to see if any might want to screen a film on the list. Failing that anyone with a large enough white wall and seats to go round! If you want to do a screening of your own – do let us know!
There’s no grand ambitions here, just a desire to get these phenomenal films out to as many people as possible. So grab some popcorn, find a silver screen and get yourself comfortable. We’re on a mission to show you the greatest films you’ve never seen!
